Fly On The Wall

FLY ON THE WALL

Created by The Wild Ones — cultivating creativity, inspiring change.

Fly On The Wall is a new initiative created by The Wild Ones to broadcast East African creativity to the world.
Each week, we showcase a different artist, collective, or band and livestream their performance to audiences and partner venues internationally.

The purpose is clear:

  • amplify East African creatives on the global stage
  • help them access new markets and international opportunities
  • introduce their work to audiences far beyond Uganda
  • and create new income streams through weekly broadcasts

Whether the performance happens at The Wild Ones or elsewhere in Kampala, Fly On The Wall gives creatives a chance to be seen, supported, and discovered across East Africa and worldwide.

What is Fly On The Wall?

Fly On The Wall is a weekly live-broadcast platform designed to give East African creatives:

  • a global audience
  • a fair and direct way to earn
  • visibility outside their home scene
  • potential collaborations and bookings
  • an authentic way to share their culture internationally

Each show is streamed through MyStaze, a Finnish platform dedicated to empowering independent creatives and ensuring they earn fairly from global viewers.

How Fly On The Wall Broadcasts Work

We broadcast in two formats:

1. Broadcasts to Partner Venues

We collaborate with bars, clubs, and creative venues around the world — starting with London — who screen the livestream for their audiences.

Venue broadcasts offer:

  • shared atmosphere
  • stronger engagement
  • collective energy
  • and the greatest fundraising potential, as groups often donate together through GoFundMe

To support the artist performing this week:

2. Individual Home Streams (via MyStaze)

Anyone globally can also watch from home by purchasing an individual pay-per-view ticket on MyStaze.

Perfect for:

  • supporters outside partner cities
  • people who can’t get to a venue screening
  • fans wanting a personal viewing experience

Both formats support artists financially — a different spin in the same core idea

Why Fly On The Wall Exists

East Africa has an extraordinary breadth of creative talent — yet many artists face challenges such as:

  • inconsistent income
  • limited access to equipment
  • small or irregular local audiences
  • barriers to international exposure
  • high costs for production and performance

Fly On The Wall exists to help overcome these barriers by offering artists visibility, new opportunities, and meaningful weekly support.

What Your Support Enables

Your support goes directly to the artist featured that week, helping us:

  • pay performers fairly for their work
  • support their rehearsal and creative preparation
  • introduce them to new audiences globally
  • open doors to future bookings and collaborations
  • strengthen their long-term creative journey

The current featured performer is always updated on our GoFundMe page:

What We Already Provide

(so your support goes directly to the artists)

To ensure artists can perform without added cost, The Wild Ones covers all production and operational expenses, including:

  • RØDECaster Pro II for clean, professional audio
  • 16-channel mixer for live bands
  • an advanced plug-and-play sound system
  • DMX lighting, stage lights & effects
  • smoke machines
  • backline equipment: drum kit, DI boxes, stands, cables
  • cameras, operators & technicians
  • sound and lighting engineers
  • internet and electricity
  • all venue space and rental overheads
  • our streaming partnership with MyStaze

Artists do not need to bring or hire equipment — everything is ready for them.

How We Sustain Fly On The Wall

As a social-enterprise venue, The Wild Ones sustains its wider mission primarily through food and drink sales at our larger weekend events.

This revenue allows us to support:

  • experimental shows
  • niche creative nights
  • early-stage performers
  • culturally important events that may not yet draw large crowds

Fly On The Wall strengthens this ecosystem by providing these artists with a dependable income stream, even before they are commercially established. But can of course generate additional exposure and income streams for established artists too!

Support the Artists

Your support helps us:

  • pay artists fairly
  • keep broadcasts alive
  • expand global audiences for East African creativity
  • grow a more sustainable, community-driven arts environment
